“I was in the 1st group. If you have to ask.”
Tell us a little bit about your debut
“It was a project that I had to finish. They were really demanding. I didn’t have the time to do anything other than being a rapper. I wasn’t really comfortable in that environment before. Before that, I was in the music business. When you think about it, most artists would be the same, right? And if you’re not comfortable in your environment, you have to leave it. It all came together in the end.”
How did “Get It” come about?
“It came out of a collaboration. I had produced a song for Kanye West. And I just heard the beat, and I realized that I wanted to do something like that. It didn’t have anything to do with my business at the time, but he said he wanted his vocals back. I had been talking to his manager for weeks about this and this and this. At some point, they said to the producer to write a song with someone else—namely, Kanye West. But I just wanted to leave it at that.”
What are your plans for your debut?
“I always plan ahead. I always have plans in my head, and when something happens, it’s usually the best thing to do. If a project doesn’t work out, I never stop. A lot of things don’t happen without a reason. Maybe it’s a lack of time or something else. There are probably no regrets in my life; this is what it boils down to.”
Why did you release another mixtape without Kanye?
“I felt bad for him. But I could’ve waited more and made sure we released something. I felt like I had done enough projects.”
What is a ‘Liquidation Event’
A liquidation event is an investment market exit where the investor realizes the value of his investment, and sells his shares. Such an exit usually occurs when the price of a security dips below the price which is required by law to secure the investor’s investment.
BREAKING DOWN ‘Liquidation Event’
If you purchase a security, the investor receives the purchase price minus the cost basis of the security. This is typically the price of the security over its estimated cost basis in the market. Once the cost basis of the security is determined, the investor is entitled to receive, in the form of cash, a lump-sum
