No, it’s best to take your lessons seriously. So if you’re a new learner, I recommend spending a couple of months learning a real ukulele and then just getting started. You won’t be able to do very well with it just playing and practicing; it will take years for its true potential. This means you will still have to spend lots of time developing good technique, and you’ll be forced to rely on your ears and touch for guidance. Most importantly, though, you’ll learn more about yourself. Uke play allows you to connect with your inner feelings and explore emotions.
To be able to do this, you need to put lots of effort into listening, touching, and practising, but you must get it right. If you don’t do this, you’ll have no real skills because you will be playing the same notes the same way every time. If you only play chords, or just play chords, you’ll still be confused and frustrated. To really connect with the music you’re listening to, and for that matter, to your surroundings, you need to listen in a really intense way – that means you actually touch and move your hands to the notes.
There is no other way.

A few days ago, it was reported that David Davis (previously Brexit Secretary) was working on some possible responses to the Government Digital Service’s consultation on the UK’s future relations with the EU. Following this, on 20 January, the government also launched two new pages on the Government Digital Service’s website, which are being used to give the public a preview of how it might respond to the consultation:
The two pages do not necessarily appear to be responses to the consultation so far. However, their use might suggest that the government is at least considering what the Government Digital Service’s consultation has to say, rather than simply ignoring the views expressed.
