We work with eligible families to help them earn as much of their income as possible on a reduced payment. While the amount you qualify for depends on your household income, you may earn up to 40% of your family’s income for a maximum of six months after you turn 65.

How much do I get for living expenses?
We calculate your monthly benefit based on your household income during the most recent month.
If you are over the age of 65, you can count your housing expenses toward your monthly allowance up to $1,200 per month . Also, take an extra $100.00 from your monthly budget for living expenses if you are over the age of 65 and receive financial assistance.

Before we calculate your monthly food plan, you must submit your most recent monthly income tax and benefit return that shows that you lived on the following:

How do I claim?
You must send us a copy of your most recent income tax and benefit return after you apply and prove that you met your most recent criteria as we review your application.
