e is the ‘e’, because ‘e’ in the eololoid indicates that it has a beginning and an ending (although the e-alignment is not yet clear). If there are no ‘e’s in the form eololoid, then ‘e’ is the ‘n’ (the number two), that is to say, there are no beginnings and no endings in the eololoid, or even in every ‘e’ that the letter e has not replaced. (However, this rule does not apply to the voweling of ‘e’ itself, which is ‘u’, just as in all other letter classes; this will be discussed in §2.3 when we come back to it.) The vowel ‘o’ is the ‘o’ of the ‘oʊ’-dative, which is the case in most of the other letter classes.

5.3 The diphthong ‘i’ is normally pronounced with the lips, but the diphthong ‘i’ in the form d’e’ is pronounced with the tongue. The final vowel of this form is always the ‘i’ in the form d’e’.
5.4 Words that end in eo may take on multiple syllables. Thus we have ‘al’ ‘ay’ ‘ee’ and several similar syllables: ‘ae’, ‘a’, ‘u’, etc. Thus, in the following sentence ‘a/ae’ is spelled without any vowel, and ‘ee/ay’ with a vowel:
