What is the meaning of pitch in music? – Good Songs To Learn Singing Psalms And Spiritual Songs

Pitch stands for the time, direction and loudness of the note played. The difference between a pitch of C and a pitch of B is the length of the note the player hears, the pitch of the note, and the loudness. As the pitch increases in loudness (doubling) it becomes louder (tripling), which becomes louder (singing) at a higher pitch (4.4 for a B Major chord). Pitching a chord in the key of C to a major 7th in the Key of C is a C Major chord in the Key of C. However a C major chord in the Key of E is a E Minor chord.

How long is a note played?

A note being played on a piano is played in a way that sounds similar to a tone played on a string. The tone is produced by the finger(s) hitting the strings. The length of a note (or string) varies from string to string, from note to note and from note to note. A note is a sound of a physical object. The distance and intensity between a note and the strings determines what the note is, what it sounds like and how quickly it is played. The farther away a note is from the strings, the softer the sound. The further away from the strings the louder the note.
