The key is to learn to be an open book. That is, to listen to others and let them share what they hear.

After a series of failed attempts, NASA’s Kepler space telescope has finally found a planet orbiting nearby star KIC 8462852, which is a gas giant.
Known as HD 85261B, it’s the first star to host a planet in an “Earth-like” orbit, the space agency announced on Wednesday.
“This means we have found our first planet,” lead investigator Mark Showalter, of NASA’s Ames Research Center, said in a statement on the team’s website.
The discovery is “quite exciting” from the perspective of planetary science, Showalter said. And Kepler is far from finished: It’s still in the early stages of its mission.
One of the key objectives is to find potential signs of life by watching the dips of stars in the sky.
“This is the highest quality planet discovery that we’ve ever been able to make,” Showalter said.
The Kepler Space telescope observes stars that appear in a part of the sky known as the “habitable zone,” where water-ice can exist on the surface.
So far, the Kepler team has found 10 planets in the habitable zone of KIC 8462852, and they want to extend that into the “Goldilocks zone,” where liquid water can exist on the surface.
And Kepler’s team is confident, as shown by the new discovery, that planets in both places are likely habitable — planets like Earth-sized but with enough water to keep them from getting too hot and drying out the surface, which could make them unsuitable for life.
“This is just like what you do in school: you learn about the planets, how far away they are,” Showalter said. “Then you go to the planet. You look for differences in the temperature.”
He points to Kepler’s observations of KIC 8462852 in 2013 and 2015, to gauge the distance between these stars and Earth.
