You know, what you’re working on, but you also know that it’s not even worth the effort, because if you mess with the stuff that’s going on, you’re going to find something new. And when you get something new, you’re doing something different. So yes, I mean, I’ve done that.

I see. So, I’ve been working with a lot of artists—including some who are really talented, and they’re pretty crazy. And then there are some people who really aren’t—there’s no record with one of these guys, and the only reason I have them on my album is because I wanted to have them on “Gifted.” And in the song “Gifted,” it was something like “There’s an oddity of time in our life,” so to have that in my album was also a nice thing. And for the rest of it, the rest of them are pretty boring. So yeah, I mean, there’s a weird kind of weird feeling in there that reminds you of your mom.

Wow.

It’s something I used to have, it’s the same kind that my dad has. So I kind of relate to that, a little bit. But it’s weird, you know.

Is the “No One Knows” album a personal project for you?

It’s not. It’s definitely a band project. It’s a lot of music, it’s a bunch of people together—me, Greg, Chad—making music. We all play instruments. And also, we had a little bit of time to go away and practice because we’ve been working so much. It’s been pretty intense. We were all on the road for a year, so it was pretty crazy, so it’s not really something that’s made. It’s more like a real project, a real experiment.

You were talking about how you’re in the process of starting up a new band, but you don’t know anything about it. So do you have an idea, or are you just going to find musicians now that you like, which is how the “Gifted” album went?

Yeah, I know that that’s what’s happening. I mean, we found people. We’re actually just figuring out who we are and what we want to be. We’re actually just doing some touring at
